Podcasting allows web users to choose the time they want to listen to a program, and Vodcasting (video podcasting) takes the next step, adding video versions to your iPod or other similar device.

A podcast can be automatically downloaded to a computer from iTunes or a similar site, then transferred to an iPod or similar device. A podcasting application is used to "add" a podcast.
