St. Charles, MO (KSDK) - Nicole Byrd and Josh Hall got married Saturday.
The prospect of that St. Ann couple being able to go through with their wedding plans seemed pretty dim as recently as three months ago. That's when the Good Friday tornadoes destroyed their home and many of their belongings.
Nicole and the couple's six children hid under a table for protection. Nicole escaped with the clothes on her back.
Saturday, she wore them.
After a florist saw a Newschannel 5 story about Nicole finding her wedding dress, in tact, he began an effort to make Nicole and Josh's wedding plans happen.
Frankie Peltiere is owner of Festive Atmospheres in St. Louis. The floral displays at the wedding and reception Saturday were the result of Peltiere's design and generosity. Peltiere says he used Facebook to make other wedding vendors aware of the volunteer effort. More than 40 responded.
