Calcium softgels recalled due to undeclared shellfish product

St. Louis (KSDK) - Rexall, Inc., a company based out of Deerfield Beach, Florida, has issued a recall of its calcium supplements due to undeclared glucosamine, which is derived from shellfish.

The product was distributed nationally in Dollar General stores.

The affected bottle includes Rexall Calcium 1200 mg plus 1000IU Vitamin D#, 60 softgels. The lot number is 387651-04.

The bottles actually contain Triple Strength Glucosamine Chondroitin and MSM tablets.

Those suffering from an allergy or severe sensitivity to shellfish have a risk of reaction if they consume this product.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported.

The recalled product can be returned to Dollar General for a full refund.
