St. Louis County, Mo (KSDK) -- St. Louis County postponed its Wednesday scheduled test of its new tornado siren system.
The tests were spurred by possible sound coverage gaps reported during last Tuesday's early morning tornado warning, according to St. Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic and Public Works Public Information Manager David Wrone.
The tests will be performed on individual sirens located in St. Ann, Kirkwood and Wildwood.
A scheduled date for the retesting has not been announced.
The tests are part of St. Louis County's Emergency Communications Network's ongoing tweaking of its new 187-siren tornado warning system, which started last Labor Day.
