St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged a 23-year-old Overland man Monday for an October 2011 murder at a Breckenridge Hills market.

According to Officer Rick Eckhard, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on October 28 in the parking lot of Quick Shop on the 3000 block of Woodson Road. Police responded to a call for a shooting and discovered two victims had been shot at the scene.

One of the victims, 23-year-old Jay Pearson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, 25-year-old Kelvin Jackson, was transported to an area hospital and survived.

The suspect, 23-year-old Darrion Landrum, was charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. Landrum is being held on $500,000 bond.

Authorities believe Landrum, Jackson and Pearson knew each other and that a verbal altercation led to Landrum shooting both victims.

Landrum was arrested last week and charged in connection with the murder of Robert McGartland in the Hyde Park neighborhood.
