East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - East St. Louis police are investigating the city's fourth homicide this year.
Police responded to the 3500 block of Bond Avenue just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning for a report of shots fired.
When authorities arrived they found 38-year-old Chadwick Butler with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
Butler was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Thursday evening the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office issued first-degree murder warrants against Chasity Butler and Devin Teer.
Chasity is the daughter of the victim, and Devin is her boyfriend.
Bail has been set at $1 million for each.
