St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The Blues continue to pile up the wins and points on home ice.

Carlo Colaiacovo scored the first goal since the opening period with 1:42 to play in overtime, sending St. Louis to a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche at cozy Scottrade Center.

Semyon Varlamov made a career-high 41 saves in his first start since January 31 at Edmonton, but the Colorado netminder couldn't turn away Colaiacovo's wrister from just inside the blue line as it appeared to deflect off a body before reaching the net.

Brian Elliott stopped 17 shots for St. Louis, which extended its franchise- record home point streak to 18 games (15-0-3).
