St. Louis (KSDK) - We have an update on the St. Louis University sorority trying to save the lives of St. Louis County brothers.
The four Murry brothers were born with a rare blood disorder, which requires monthly blood transfusions and several medications.
As the boys get older, the treatments stop working.
Their cousin and her Kappa Delta sorority sisters are hosting a bone marrow donor registration drive to find matches for them.
Since our story aired, several other organizations have stepped up to host drives. The first one is tomorrow.
"It takes 10 minutes. You fill out a registration, after you fill that out we take two of these out, you swab the inside of each cheek for like 10 seconds. We put them in an envelope and we send them off to the national registry and we wait and see if there's a match for Sean or Patrick or someone else," said Joyce Jones, Donor Recruiter Coordinator.
The bone marrow drive is from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday at St. Louis University on the main campus and on the medical campus.
