Mascoutah, IL (KSDK) - MidAmerica St. Louis Airport in Mascoutah, Illinois could soon land international cargo business.
On Monday night the St. Clair County board approved a resolution to issue $550 million in bonds to support a new overseas cargo airline at the airport.
The air cargo service would fly to South America and Asia.
Last year Missouri lawmakers failed to pass tax incentives in a special session which would have helped to create an international cargo hub at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
