Bridgeton, Mo (KSDK) -- Interstate 270 and St. Charles Rock Road are reopened after powerlines fell overnight during strong storms.
Powerlines were across both roads forcing crews to close the roads for a few hours. Part of those lines were tangled around a semi.
Crews were able to get the area cleaned-up in time for the morning rush hour.
Temporary stop signs were placed along the off ramps until power can be restored at the intersection.
The Missouri Department of Transportation believes straight-line winds took down the lines, but the National Weather Service has not confirmed it.
KSDK
