Joplin, MO (KSDK) - Chilling surveillance video of the Joplin tornado has been released for the first time ever.
This video was taken from the waiting room at St. John's Regional Medical Center on May 22, 2011. That's the hospital that took a direct hit from the storm.
The building was destroyed, and the debris left behind was later demolished.
Now, re-building of the hospital is getting a big boost.
Renamed as Mercy Hospital, it received a $5 million donation Friday from the United Arab Emirates.
