Hillsdale, MO (KSDK) - A 20-year-old St. Louis County man was charged Monday for the robbery and murder of an Imo's Pizza delivery driver over the weekend.
According to Sgt. Bob Kelly, a spokesman for the Hillsdale Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Erick Avenue.
Police said someone ordered a pizza from Imo's earlier in the night. When the delivery driver, identified as 22-year-old Daniil Maksimenko, arrived at the location given to Imo's, he was robbed and shot. Maksimenko died at the hospital Saturday evening.
A suspect, Chester Woods, was apprehended Sunday afternoon. Woods was charged Monday with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. His arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Chester Woods remains jailed on $250,000 bond.
Police said they are searching for additional suspects connected to the robbery.
