DENVER (KUSA) - Cate Malone didn't notice anything unusual when a young bride came in to her bridal shop on West 32nd Street in the Highlands in October 2011. But little did the owner of Little White Dress Bridal Shop know, she was ordering a dress for the woman who was the reason behind the change in relationship status for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

"We had no idea we were assisting such a soon-to-be well-known bride marrying one of the wealthiest men in the world," said Malone.

Priscilla Chan, then the fiancé of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, had come to the bridal shop using a fake name. Shop workers say she had a friend handle all of the arrangements for the dress, only giving one real detail: the wedding date (May 19).

Zuckerberg and Chan were wed on May 19 in a small, private ceremony which was a surprise to the 100 guests who thought they were attending a graduation party. Malone says Chan wore a dress by designer Claire Pettibone.

The dress goes by the name "Sky Between the Branches." A blog by Claire Pettibone confirms that the designer tracked the purchase of the dress to Little White Dress Bridal Shop in Denver.

The shop is also mentioned in an article by Life & Style Magazine as the place where sources say Chan purchased her dress. Workers at Little White Dress Bridal Shop say it was mentioned that Chan heard about the local bridal shop thorough Claire Pettibone's website.

The shop says Chan returned to Denver for alterations and to purchase a decorative hair comb to wear with her veil. Her gown was shipped to a third party California, without a single person ever realizing that they were helping the "First Lady of Facebook" prepare for her big day.
