LOS ANGELES (AP) - Is your pooch the next Benji? The search is on for a new canine superstar.

Brandon Camp, whose father created "Benji" nearly 40 years ago, and veteran movie trainer Mark Forbes, are looking for a medium-sized, mischievous mutt.

They've created a Facebook page so pet owners and shelter workers can post pictures of their would-be Benjis. http://www.facebook.com/benjithemovie

The original Benji was adopted from a Southern California animal shelter.
