Mayor Francis Slay goes door-to-door in the heat
St. Louis (KSDK) -- Mayor Francis Slay went door-to-door in the heat.
The mayor visited five homes to check to make sure people are using their air conditioners.
All the people he visited are on the city's Functional Needs Registry. People who are on the list receive phone calls and, or visits from city representatives to make sure they are alight during emergencies, such as extreme heat.
Three people in the City of St. Louis have died from the heat this year.
