St. Charles County (KSDK)-   A Lincoln County man was killed Wednesday evening after the car he was driving crashed into the back end of a stopped tractor trailer truck on the Blanchette Bridge.

Officials with the Missouri Highway Patrol say both vehicles were westbound on Interstate 70 crossing the bridge when the car James Pace; 33 of Troy, slams into the back trailer portion of the truck.

Investigators say Pace was pronounced dead at the crash scene around 7:25 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured in the collision according to authorities who identified that driver as a 61 year old North Dakota woman.
