Chesterfield, MO (KSDK) - It wasn't exactly the Cardinals in the playoffs, but several people gathered at a west St. Louis County bar and grill Thursday night and their eyes were glued to the television set. Only they weren't watching ESPN; they were watching C-Span.
At the Republican watch party, candidate for Missouri's 2nd Congressional District Ann Wagner was on hand to see how Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney did at the Republican National Convention.
"It's a home run," said Wagner, the GOP nominee for Todd Akin's seat in Congress.
"It's going to be a fantastic evening. We're going to talk about Mitt Romney's strong faith, strong family, and his public service. And we're going to talk about a business man who knows how to create jobs and fix this spiral of debt and decline we're on."
The party at Corner Pub and Grill Restaurant, located at Clarkson and Clayton, is one of 8 locations around the state where Missouri Republicans gathered to watch the RNC.
