Florissant, MO (KSDK) - A little girl in Florissant got a big surprise Tuesday.
The Florissant Fire Department and the Ferguson-Florissant School District honored fourth grader Courtney Shuchart for stepping up and helping her grandmother when she suffered an asthma attack.
Firefighters say the Duchesne Elementary School student called 911, remained calm, and did everything emergency responders asked her to do to help her grandmother until paramedics arrived.
Today her grandmother is doing just fine.
