St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A fire inside a wall was the reason for firefighters responding to the Southern Metals facility in south St. Louis early Tuesday.

A first alarm was sounded when fire officials found heavy smoke coming from the west side of the building.

After searching through the dense smoke for the fire source, firefighters eventually discovered the fire and quickly put it out.

No injuries reported and an official determination on how the fire started remains under investigation.
