St. Louis (KSDK) -- On Friday, more than 150 local union workers in the St. Louis area will learn if they are about to be out of work.
The men and women who work for Hostess Brands are waiting for the company to make a big announcement about its business and their jobs.
The company filed for bankruptcy for the second time in four years, and also for the second time has asked employees to take some big cuts.
The company proposed an eight percent wage cut and some other concessions. A rep for Teamsters Local 688, which represents drivers for the company, tells us the general consensus of their membership was "enough is enough."
Workers throughout the country, including the St. Louis area have voted on whether to accept or reject Hostess' five-year contract offer.
If the workers reject that offer, the company could be forced to sell or liquidate its assets, the 170 Hostess drivers could be out of work here, and more than 18,000 workers nation-wide.
The announcement is expected to come some time Friday morning.
