Union Pacific's Steam Locomotive Number 844
Pacific, Mo (KSDK) -- Pacific, Missouri will be named Train Town USA by Union Pacific Railroad to celebrate the railroad's 150th anniversary.
It will happen during the Pacific Partnerships 10th Annual Railroad Days Festival Saturday, September 22 at 11 a.m at 216 S. First Street.
A Union Pacific locomotive, the Missouri Pacific Heritage Locomotive #1982, an SD70ACe diesel locomotive, will be on display to commemorate the purchase of the Missouri Pacific Railroad by Union Pacific in 1982. Missouri Pacific Railroad served the Pacific, Mo. area until the Union Pacific purchase.
