(KSDK) - Police say one man was killed and another seriously injured when the Ford Windstar they were in struck a cement retaining wall around 5 p.m. Saturday night.
The Windstar was traveling westbound on Natural Bridge near Marcus when it sideswiped a GMC Sierra. The 35-year-old man driving the Windstar lost control of the vehicle and drove into a light post on the north side of the street. The Windstar then crossed several lanes traffic and struck a retaining wall on the south side of the street.
The passenger in the Windstar, Mbonakira Lewis, 48, of the 1200 block of Hodiamont, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the Windstar suffered a leg injury and was taken to an area hospital. The driver of the Sierra was not injured.
