St. Louis (KSDK) - Dodgeball isn't exactly a game most of us take seriously, but you might grab a ball and start practicing after you hear this story because there's a lot of money up for grabs.
The World 3D Dodgeball Championship has a prize of $25,000!
Of course, this game is a little more intense than the game you remember playing on the playground because they play on trampolines. Not only is the floor made of 12 trampolines, the walls are made of trampolines.
SkyZone introduced the game to St. Louis in 2006 and over the years it's grabbed the attention of thrill-seekers. The guys you see in the video above travel all over playing the game and well as they explain it's a little tougher.
"There's a lot more dodging, a lot more agility involved, people are bouncing around everywhere and trying to hit them is just as hard," said Matt Derouen, a dodgeball player.
The regional tournament is Saturday, October 6, and the winner will then play in Los Angeles in November for the chance at $25,000.
