High Ride, MO (KSDK) - A man attempting to disguise himself as a woman robbed a High Ridge bank Friday afternoon, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer, the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the US Bank branch located inside a Schnuck's grocery store on Dillon Plaza.

Deputies learned the suspect walked up to the teller and produced a note indicating he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect did not show a weapon. The teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police described the suspect as an African-American man standing 5'7" to 6'0" tall, between 30 and 40 years of age, wearing blue medical scrubs, a wig and a black hooded sweatshirt.
