St. Clair County, IL (KSDK) - NewsChannel 5 received several phone calls and e-mails overnight about a mysterious object in the sky.

NewsChannel 5 obtained several photos of the object from the Monroe County Independent.

NewsChannel 5 contacted the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, and a spokesperson says a deputy was called to Floraville Road at Paderborn Road in Millstadt Tuesday night.

The deputy observed what appeared to be a satellite in the sky.

No other information on the object has been released.
