Red Bud, Ill (KSDK) -- Can a big jackpot be hit a second time in Red Bud, Illinois?

The Red Bud, Illinois MotoMart store that sold one of the three $656-million winning Mega Millions ticket earlier this year has a sign outside that says "lightning can strike twice."  It was a record jackpot for Mega Millions.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing is $500-million, which is also a record amount.

If you really want to win the Powerball jackpot, there's a way to increase your odds and even guarantee a win.

You would have to come up with every possible combination of numbers you would need to buy more than 195-million tickets at $2 a piece.  That means you would have to spend $390-million.

You would have to take the annuity and collect the $500-million in order to make a profit, and you'd have to hope you were the only winner.

Theoretically, if someone had $400-million lying around to try, you would still have problems because just printing the tickets using one machine would take 2,259 days, which is more than six years.
