St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - One eastbound lane of the Interstate 64 Daniel Boone Bridge will close next week for inspection work, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
According to Linda Horn, a MoDOT spokeswoman, crews will close the bridge from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday, December 3 through Thursday, December 6.
The inspection is necessary as part of a rehabilitation project tied to the eastbound bridge and the construction of a new I-64 Daniel Boone Bridge.
The new bridge is expected to cost $110.9 million. Construction is expected to begin in early 2013 and be finished by late 2015.
