St. Louis, Mo (KSDK) - Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in a south St. Louis neighborhood.

According to police, the incident happened in the 3500 block of Miami Street before 10:20 a.m.

The victim, identified only as a male, was shot in the lower body. He told police he was in an alley when somebody approached and shot him.

Police have not indicated a motive or possible suspects. The investigation remains ongoing.
