BETHALTO, Ill. (KSDK) - Charges have been filed against a man accused of murdering a St. Louis woman.
Raamon Victor Reed, 46, of St. Louis, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death.
Reed is accused of killing 44-year-old Tabatha L. Milton-Rush and dumping her body in Bethalto, Illinois, where it was found Saturday morning near Illinois Highway 255.
Milton-Rush was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.
Reed was identified as a suspect early in the investigation and turned himself in for questioning around 1 a.m. January 6.
Police say Milton-Rush knew Reed, and it is believed she was killed January 1, 2013 at another location and was brought to the Bethalto area.
Reed is held on a $1 million bond.
