MADISON COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) -- A Marquand, MO man is dead after his vehicle was swept over a bridge.
Missouri State Highway Patrol received a call from Madison County around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday about a vehicle being swept over the bridge.
The vehicle was traveling along State Highway V in Madison County when the vehicle and its four passengers were swept into Castor River.
When Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers arrived at the scene three of the occupants were accounted for and one was missing.
According to State Troopers three of the four occupants in the truck became concerned about the water level and began walking through the water to the shore.
Troopers began a search and rescue for the missing man with a boat, but had to suspend the rescue because of weather conditions.
Rescuers resumed their search at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday January 13th and located the body of 59-year-old Perry Miller of Marquand, Missouri.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle is still in the water.
