ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A St. Louis man has been charged in connection to the robberies of two students near the campus of St. Louis University.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has issued warrants for three counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree attempted robbery, and four counts of armed criminal action against 32-year-old Andre Lowery.
Lowery is charged for the January 20 robbery of a 21-year-old woman in the 3700 block of Lindell, and the January 24 robbery of a 22-year-old woman in the 3600 block of Lindell. In both cases, the women were robbed of their purses.
He is also charged in connection to an attempted robbery at the Family Dollar Store in the 3700 block of Dr. Martin Luther King on January 18, and a January 20 robbery in the 3100 block of Arkansas.
Investigators say in the January 20th case the victim was walking to his residence when the suspect approached him, demanded his wallet and revealed a weapon. The suspect took the victim's cell phone and laptop and fled.
