CLAYTON, Mo. (KSDK) - St. Louis County Bar and Restaurant owners sounded off today on a plan to close the loopholes in the smoking ban ordinance.
Right now, smoking is allowed in 135 bars, restaurants, and casinos across the county.
Councilman Mike O'Mara says it's time to level the playing field for all businesses and he wants to end all exemptions.
Some bar owners say it would put them out of business.
One compromise being offered is to ban smoking in places that allow people under the age of 21.
