SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (KSDK) - The race for the Republican nomination in Illinois' second congressional district is still too close to call.
The Polls closed at 7:00pm Tuesday and no winner has been declared.
With 99% reporting, three candidates are separated by less than 100 votes. Paul McKinley is leading.
The winner of the race will face democart Robin Kelly in the battle for Jesse Jackson Jr.'s vacated seat.
Jackson resigned late last year, citing his ongoing treatment for bipolar disorder. Since then, he's admitted in court to using $750,000 in campaign funds for personal expenses.
