Terminal 1 at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport
ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Parking at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport will cost you more starting April 1.
Rates for the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 garages will change from $2.50 per hour to $5.00 for two hours.
Parking rates for lots A, B, and D will increase as well. Rates for lot C will remain unchanged.
Officials with Lambert say the rate increase is due to a supply and demand issue, and the Terminal 2 garage was being filled several days a week, forcing motorists to use alternate lots.
A study done by the airport showed a majority of people using the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 garages were very short term parkers, so in conjunction with the rate increases, the airport will continue to promote the use of its free cell phone lots.
