Edwardsville, Ill (KSDK) - An Edwardsville toy store is back in business thanks to $77,000 in support from the community.
The owner of Once Upon a Toy had to close the doors a few weeks ago when she said the bank called in the store's small business loan.
A long-time customer and former employee started an online campaign to save the store and it worked.
Citizens and fellow business owners helped by donating $77,000. The store reopened on Friday.
Once Upon a Toy has been in business in Edwardsville for more than 25 years. There is also a location in St. Louis.
