This winter I went to Portofino Bay in Orlando, Florida at Universal with a friend. This excellent replica of the real Portofino Bay in Italy is abounding with great places to just relax and recharge. The restaurants are plentiful and all the food we ate at all of the restaurants was superb.
The resort is on a huge u-shaped section of land right on the waters edge where we took a free water taxi to the Hard Rock Hotel and Resort one day and on another day we took the same water taxi to Universal. When we arrived at the resort we parked our car and did not get in it again until it was time to leave. And leaving was very hard because the hotel and the staff are so perfectly appointed to accommodate our every need and desire.
We will be going back to this beautiful, peaceful hideaway next month for a few more days. This time we have decided to stick around the hotel and enjoy the pool, spa and health club for an even more relaxed time away from home.
