Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Dwayne Evans erupted for 20 points and 14 rebounds, as the Saint Louis Billikens wrapped up the regular season with a 75-60 win over Duquesne in Atlantic 10 play at the Palumbo Center.
Five different players scored in double figures for the Billikens (24-6, 12-4 A-10), who will have at least the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in next week's Atlantic 10 Championship. Saint Louis can earn a share of the A-10 regular-season crown if 23rd-ranked Temple loses at Fordham this afternoon. Kwamain Mitchell was second on the team with 13 points.
The Dukes (16-14, 7-9) will be seeded ninth for the conference tourney. B.J. Monteiro scored a team-high 14 points in the loss, while Eric Evans finished with 11.
Duquesne never led in the contest, as Saint Louis shot 53.1 percent from the floor in the first half and took a 39-25 lead into the break.
The Billikens again shot better than 50 percent in the second stanza (52.2) and led by as many as 21 in the final minutes.
SLU held a 35-21 rebounding advantage for the game, which helped yield a key 19-5 edge in second-chance points.
