ST. LOUIS (AP) - New coach Jeff Fisher used an offbeat ice breaker for St. Louis Rams veterans and rookies meeting for the first time.

Besides standing and reciting their name, rank and favorite movie during introductions, the rookies were asked to recall the name of their first pet along with the animals' cause of death. Fisher said Wednesday that several players mentioned hamsters and turtles, and some remembered the family dog or cat getting squashed by trains or buses.

Fisher said rookies won't be asked to sing and went out of his way to emphasize there will be no hazing.

Cornerback Cortland Finnegan recalled similar lighthearted goings on when he was a rookie playing for Fisher in Tennessee.

The Rams are rebuilding under Fisher after a 2-14 season.
