St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues retained the services of restricted free agent forward David Perron on Thursday, signing him to a four-year contract.

"We're excited to have David in the fold for the next four years," said Blues general manager Doug Armstrong. "He made a great comeback by scoring 21 goals in 57 games. We're comfortable with his health, and we're confident that he will continue to build on his offense."

Despite missing the first 25 games of the regular season due to the after- effects of a concussion suffered at the hands of San Jose's Joe Thornton in November of 2010, Perron recovered to post 21 goals and 21 assists with a career-high plus-19 rating in 57 regular-season games. He added one goal and five points in nine playoff contests.

The 24-year-old native of Quebec has racked up 74 goals and 173 points in 292 games, all with the Blues, since 2007.

"I love the city of St. Louis and I'm thrilled to play in front of these awesome fans for another four years," said Perron. "We had an excellent regular season but we all feel this team has so much more to accomplish."
