Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Slovakia's Magdalena Rybarikova rolled to a
6-1, 6-1 victory Saturday night over top-seeded Russian Anastasia
Pavlyuchenkova to capture the championship at the $220,000 Citi Open.
Rybarikova picked up her third career title by winning an astounding 95
percent (20-of-21) of her first-service points during the 65-minute rout. She
had previous championships in Birmingham in 2009 and in Memphis last year,
with her latest triumph netting her $37,000.
Pavlyuchenkova, who was in her first final of the year, was searching for her
fourth career WTA singles title.
