London (KSDK) -- A Festus native competed in a qualification round of the Olympic javelin competition Tuesday morning, but her Olympic bid has come to an end.
Brittany Borman's final throw was 59.27 meters. She finished in eighth place in her group.
After a second group of athletes competed in a qualifier later in the day, Borman ended up in 15th place. Only the top 12 athletes advance to the finals.
