ST. LOUIS (AP) - First-round pick Michael Brockers, who has what's been reported as a high right ankle sprain that could sideline him the first few games, was among three defensive tackles who did not practice Wednesday for the St. Louis Rams.
Matt Conrath and Darell Scott also missed practice as the team began on-field preparations for the opener Sunday at Detroit. Both have knee injuries. Conrath said he had not been ruled out for the game.
Brockers was the 14th overall pick after two years at LSU. He was injured in the preseason finale when the Ravens' Jah Reid fell on his leg with four seconds to go in the first quarter. The Rams have described it only as an ankle injury.
