Harrison, NJ (Sports Network) - Red Bull New York announced Tuesday that
Jerome de Bontin has been appointed as the club's new General Manager,
replacing Erik Soler, who will stay on with the club as an internal advisor.
According to a press release from the Red Bulls, De Bontin will oversee the
club's business operations while Gerard Houllier, who was appointed Head of
Global Soccer for Red Bull this summer, will oversee all sporting aspects for
the team.
De Bontin has served as President for French side AS Monaco from early 2008
until the spring of 2009 while also serving as a board member for the club.
