Just over a month ago the DeSmet Spartans lost to CBC 49-12. Fast forward five weeks and the Spartans returned the favor to their Metro Catholic rivals. DeSmet surprised everyone but themselves with a 56-35 win over CBC on Friday.
The win moved DeSmet on to the semifinals to face Blue Springs. Previously unbeaten CBC is now done for the year.
