Brisbane, Australia (Sports Network) - Maria Sharapova pulled out of the Brisbane International on Tuesday due to a collarbone injury.

The world No. 2 was scheduled to play a second-round match against Jarmila Gajdosova on Wednesday, but told officials that she would not be able to play due to the right collarbone problem.

She also withdrew from a exhibition match against Carolina Wozniacki last month in Seoul, South Korea and her status for the upcoming Australian Open, the first major of the year, is unknown.
