(KSDK Sports) -- All systems appear to be "go" with Shelby Miller's latest health concern. Yesterday, Manager Mike Matheny said the Miller was un-available to throw due to tightness and soreness in his throwing shoulder.
Today, Miller resumed his throwing program, although the Cardinals did announce Miller would not make his scheduled first start of the Spring on Sunday.
"Everything appears in the clear and he's feeling really good. But once again, we're just being careful," said Matheny on Thursday.
The Cardinals will instead use a pair of lefties, John Gast gets the start on Sunday. Gast will pitch around 40 pitches and be followed by lefthande Tyler Lyons. After Sunday, we'll begin seeing the Cardinals starting rotation make their first appearances, starting with Adam Wainwright on Monday.
