(KSDK Sports) -- The weekly release of the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll finds the Saint Louis Billikens moving up to the 15th spot.
The Billikens moved up in the ranking following their 66-58 victory over the George Washington Colonials on Saturday. Dwayne Evans had 22 points and 12 rebounds, Kwamain Mitchell added 18 points for the Billikens (23-5, 12-2 A-10), who have won 11 in a row and hold a one-game lead over VCU for first place in the conference standings. VCU beat Butler on Saturday.
While the rest of college basketball has been in a state of flux, providing upsets on a nightly basis, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are now No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll for the first time in program history. That because they continue to win.
With the top ranking comes a great deal of outside attention, from the media and fans. Gonzaga coach Mark Few told USA TODAY Sports that he doesn't think his team is going to get too full of itself just because of a new number next to its name.
