(KSDK Sports) -- The vote is in, and it appears that Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (3,596,858) is now the top "vote getter" in the National League, and is leading the way at catcher as well.
The change at the top of the overall National League voting tally was announced on Sunday with the battle for catcher swaying toward the Cardinals' Molina over the Giants' Buster Posey (3,506,402).But Molina and Posey's positions aren't safe as another appears to gaining.
Carlos Beltran (3,473,030) is less than 100,000 votes behind the battling catchers and cushioning his lead as the top NL outfielder. The Braves Justin Upton (2,453,531) and the Nationals Bryce Harper (2,363,965) round out the top three, with Rockies sensation Carlos Gonzalez of the Rockies moving into the No. 4 spot at 2,060,388, with Ryan Braun of the Brewers not far behind at 2,010,310.
Other Cardinals are making a showing, but are pretty far off the pace. Allen Craig is in third place for first base behind Joey Votto and Paul Goldschmidt. Matt Carpenter also hold the third place spot in at second base. Pete Kozma at fourth for shortstop and David Freese is 1.2 million behind David Wright in the race for third base.
