Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - North Carolina State guard Lorenzo Brown had
successful knee surgery on Tuesday and will likely miss two-to-four weeks of
summer workouts.
Brown had a tear in the lateral meniscus of his right knee, an injury that was
repaired by surgeon Dr. Robert Wyker.
"My understanding is that surgery went well," said NC State head coach Mark
Gottfried. "The injury was limited to the meniscus. This is temporary setback
for Lorenzo. We will be conservative with what we do with Lorenzo moving
forward."
Brown averaged 12.7 points, 6.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals last
season for the Wolfpack, who made it to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
