Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Anthony Drmic led four Boise State players in
double figures, scoring a game-high 16, as the Broncos secured a home victory
over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, 72-56, at Taco Bell Arena.
Boise State (4-1) got 15 points on five three-pointers from Jeff Elorriaga.
Igor Hadziomerovic chipped in 14 points while Derrick Marks went for 10 points
and five assists.
Alan Williams scored 15 points to lead the Gauchos (2-3). Taran Brown chipped
in 13 points, a team-high five rebounds and four blocked shots, but the
Gauchos were outrebounded by Boise, 37-22.
BSU jumped out to a 17-point halftime lead and never looked back. The hosts
shot 48.3 percent from the floor in the half while the Gauchos managed just
36.8 percent.
The Broncos continued to pour it on in the second half, increasing their lead
to 28 at the 11:19 mark of the period before cruising to the 16-point triumph.
UCSB, which turned the ball over 16 times, managed just two second-chance
points in the losing effort.
